I get asked this question frequently. In a market that a lot of us have never seen….it is sometimes a hard question to answer. There are still people out there selling and buying. In our local market, we had a very strong market in February, March, and April. Since we live in Northeast Missouri, there are only so many people that are going to sell and buy. Therefore, this takes away from May and maybe some of June as well. I have heard through a local bank that makes Rural Development loans that the funds are starting to run short and it might be tough to get the funds at this time.  For those that are already locked into a house and waiting to close, you should be okay.  Those that have not found a house yet, you might want to talk to your banker to make sure there are still funds available at this time.  For those that have not found a house yet, click here to see some great options!

One thing that I have encountered several times lately is buyers not being pre-qualified before they want to make an offer.  Financing has become more difficult to obtain recently and it is a step-up for the buyer to have this when presenting an offer.  To see other topics buyers sometimes forget, click here.
